Newlands Retreat Center is a Christian Lodge & Dorm that provides a comfortable and relaxing environment to our guests. We believe that Jesus is the cornerstone of our mission and that our guests should be able to find comfort and solace in Him. We offer a variety of services and amenities including a chapel, library, and meditation and prayer spaces.

OUR JOURNEY
The Brantingham Family lived in Shanghai, China from 2002-2020 where they attended an international church named Abundant Grace. During this time the Brantingham's met Kingdom and Anesu Mutsvene from Zimbabwe. Together, they went on several mission trips to the Philippines and Southern Africa. Both the Mutsvenes and Brantinghams heart for mission grew until one day in 2018, the Newlands Retreat Center property became available.

The newly-wed Mutsvene's decided to move back to Zimbabwe and work with the Brantingham's to help cultivate future missions to Zimbabwe through the Newlands Retreat Center. With Covid hitting at an in opportune moment, we are hoping the Newlands Retreat Center can begin the journey to becoming a hub for missions in Southern Africa.

For the last 5 years, Kingdom and Anesu Mutsvene have managed the Newlands Retreat Center with amazing leadership and passion for people. They bring reliability and trust to all aspects of the NRC. The NRC wouldn't be the same without there commitment and there three cute kids.
